Friday night's sew in consisted of me sewing together these knitted bed socks.

Making plastic bag holders.

Angus's school is having a Autumn festival and we are going to have a stall so I am making a few things, so I am going to put my own sewing on hold for a few weeks.

Friday Night Sew In

I started this project months ago, over the last week I have spent all my spare time making more squares.  On Saturday night I started to put it together but I still need some more squares for the length so I will be back in a few days with the finished blanket.
Another project that has now been finished thanks to Angus's help he got to use my sewing machine for the first time .  I spy quilt.  another Ufo finished and is at the quilters as I type.
I am enjoying getting ufo's out of the box and finished.  I am so tempted to start something new but then I think of the pile that I already have sitting there.

FNWF

Last night was the first Friday night with friends for the year so I pulled out another Ufo to work on.  My plan this year is to get most of my Ufos finished before starting new projects and keep up with my blog.

I started this I spy quilt about 18 months ago, I had a few blocks done but last night and some of today I have been preparing more.

Tonight while the boys are watching a movie in bed I will be sewing these blocks into lines and working out how many more I need to make it fit Angus' bed he has already claimed this one a he has helped sew some of the blocks.

This week I also finished another UFo Birds of Feather bag By Melly and Me  this was a project from a sewing day back in 2012.

Ufo's

Well it's the start of a new year, so this year I am going to concentrate on my huge pile of UFO's.  Mum asked me before Christmas if I could make some bed socks for my Aunty so I  made 3 pairs.
Next was this bag that I only need to line and put the handles on.  It's a great size to take to swimming lessons with some hand sewing in it.
Tonight's finish is this beautiful baby set from Melly and Me called Baby Bug, I was trying to work out when I started it, I think it could have been 2 - 3 years ago.
Well I'm off to finish another UFO I am trying to stay focused and strong and not start anything new this month.

Now you may be thinking that I wouldn't have any Ufo's to go well  here is the first pile in these boxes some contain more that one, so I will be at it for a long time.
I have lost some info so I decided to look in here.  Guess what its not there.
The grey box on the floor is overflowing , It has patterns and kits waiting to be done. (one day)

This is the after photo, I have filed all the patterns back into their right folders and made this space a bit more manageable.

Well I'm off to do some house hold chores now.

Happy New Year looking forward to a productive and more organised 2016.

Santa Sack Swap

I am still around, I have been working on a lot of swap's lately so haven't been able to post pictures.

I was very lucky to be paired up with Anorina.  Angus and I opened them up together (what 7 yo doesn't like to open gifts.

Angus found a gift for him so he had to open it first.

Of course the Lego got made in record time.

Here are my goodies.
A bag, some fabric, a table runner, a bee mat, hand cream and nail file, a notebook, a sewing caddy, pot holders.   I have been very spoiled so thank you Anorina for the beautiful gifts.
