Friday Night Sew in and other finishes

Friday night I put the finishing touches to the Stocking embroidery.  Saturday seen me framing them.

These Patterns are pre-printed, uses wool felt and are by Bonnie Sullivan.

Last week was cushion making week or so it seemed.

The Last on is by Fig n Berry  called  A Friend for Christmas, Angus decided he wanted it made into a cushion as we have a lot of wall hanging already.

This is another Fig n Berry bom that is now in the pile for quilting.

FNSI

After completing all the things I need to get  done I managed to sit down and work on Rosalie Quinlan Best Friends Forever. ( I have now finished this one).

I only have one more stitchery to go then I have to make all the hexi's.  This project has been on the go for a long time so hopefully over the next few weeks I can get it finished.

In the early hours of Friday morning  I finished my last Twas the Night Before Christmas stitchery by Fig n Berry 2016 (just in time Lisa has released this years).

The pile of things needing to get finished is growing so I need to spend some serious time on the machine over the next few weeks.

Hand sewing and Angus quilt

Over the Christmas holidays Angus started making this quilt using Australian fabric.  He need some help matching up all the seams and last night I finished it for him.

I have been madly hand stitching Twas the night before Christmas,  I have finished another 2 only 1 more to go before I can assemble it.  Lisa (Fig n Berry) has a new  BOM starting February so I was determined to catch up before the next one.

I have enjoyed making this one, there is a lot of stitching  but when you get on a roll you a finished in no time.  Angus picked variegated thread for this one.

Well im off to a school meeting then cubs so dont think I will get to do any sewing tonight.

Friday Night Sew In

I have been working of Fig n Berry Bom Twas the night before Christmas from 2016 and I got the 6th one finished.  (3 more to go)

I also managed to get the binding on this Christmas quilt.  (I rang out of time before).

This week I have been having a big clean up and sort out of my material.  Amazing what you find and wonder when you bought it.  I have a plan in my head on how my sewing storage area should look like so lets hope it works out.

I have also been sorting out Angus's bedroom and getting him ready for starting back at school next week.

2017 New year

The last few weeks of 2016 were very busy.  I had a special 0 birthday and lots of Christmas events to attend.

I have started the new year doing some hand stitching.  Lisa's (Fig n Berry) Twas the night before Christmas bom from 2016.  I am now (6 months behind).  Lisa has a new bom starting Feburary so im hoping to get this one nearly finished before the next one starts.

The other night I felt like knitting so I made some more fancy coat hangers for my dresses to stop them falling off.

This year I plan on finishing a lot of kits and using up fabric that I have.  No more impulse buying  I need to use what I have and buy to finish things off.  I am feeling very overwhelmed with the amount of things I have everywhere.

This year is about clearing out things I don't use or need, making things easier to get to.  Spending more time with my boys and doing a lot of fun things.

Happy New Year

Finishes, Stitched in Time and Friday night sewing in

I am loving getting a lot of Ufo's finished, most of the seem to be Christmas.
 Fig 'n' Berry Christmas
Fig 'n' Berry  twas the night before Christmas
These were our goodie bags that were on our table at Stitched in Time run by Gail Pan and Ramona Hermann on the 12th November.
Inside was all these fantastic Kits.
First one I finished I made into a  cushion (Angus has already claimed it)
Next was Holly Christmas Sack
These were Gails kits already sewn and ready to make up.  Christmas banners.
I am thinking of making these into little bags.  Pattern is Decorate for Christmas.

It was another fantastic day meeting new friends and catching up with old ones.

I am on a mission to get most of my Ufo's finished this year at this rate I will be left with 2 bigger projects, so next year I can start on my huge pile of kits to make.

Today is going to be 38 degrees so a good day to sew and be on fire watch.
