I have found my way back .....

I know it's been a long time, I'm not sure where it has gone.

We had a wonderful holiday in Queensland and managed to get some hand stitching done (pictures in the new year when I have mounted them on canvas)

I have had a birthday and here is my cake.(This is wombat  Angus' kinder project for the week coming to eat cake).

I have also received a lot of beautiful fabric from the Fat Quarter Birthday swap that I am in.  I have so much lovley fabric it is going to keep me going for a  long time.

My boys also gave me beautiful fabric for my birthday too.(Yes Angus wanted in on the photo too)

Once again thank you everyone for the beautiful fabric for my birthday.

This week I have a concert, 2 christmas parties, a thankyou afternoon tea at Kinder and that's on top of making my christmas cakes, looks like not a lot of sleep over the next few days.

My friend Kelly and I have been making quilts to send to our Aussie Soliders overseas.  Have you heard of http://aussieheroquilts.blogspot.com.au?

Here are a few of what we have done so far.

We have a friend who is having her 5th baby any day now, so I made 2 Ispy quilts one with red and the other in blue as she hasnt found out what they are having.  I have also been doing a lot of hand sewing christmas projects this month so I will be bloging them as soon as I have the borders on them.

Friends Swap

Kris organised another friends swap and Amanda was my partner.

We sent 7 gifts from the letters of Friends.   I sent Amanda  a Flashlight key ring with her name on it, ruffled scarf, coffee mug and tray, erasable pen, notebook, chocolates and a sewing caddy with a pincushion, and scissors in it.

Hope you liked the goodies Amanda.

Urban Stitches

Yesterday a few of us went to a stitching day held by Rosalie from Rosalie Quinlan designs, Leanne from Leannes House, and Melly from Melly and me at the Novotel Hotel in Glen Waverly.

We arrived nice and early, upon registering we were given a goodie bag, then we found a table and started looking through of bags and OMG we knew we were in for a great day.  This is what was in our bags.

We received a new pattern from each of the designers, scissors, fabric, needles, cosmo threads, pellon, and interfacing.

Our lunch was a buffet with a dessert bar, well lets just say I had more than 1 dessert  lol.

Under the Mulberry Tree had a shop there, so what was I to do but stock up of some yummy goodies.

I am starting to save for next years Urban Stitches.

This is what I sent Vickie

"Sasha" The Travelling Stash

I recently had "Sasha" arrive at my house. Cassie put together a parcel and forward to the next person on her list. We could take out what we wanted and replace with similar products. It arrived looking like this.
